Our Wood Excelsior comes from Great Lakes Apsen Trees. It is not a byproduct but is produced for this purpose only with no pesticide treatments. Aspen is purchased ONLY from forest product companies who are members of the Sustainable Forest Initiaitives (SFI). For every tree cut down, another tree is planted. We are proud to be part of the "Green Movement for a better Earth."
